Florida’s House and Senate has passed vote crime legislation that was a priority of the DeSantis Administration with the bill heading to the Governor’s desk for signature. In response, Democrat’s use their disingenuous talking point “but it’s not widespread!” to oppose this legislation protecting all votes by strengthening safeguards and hardening penalties for vote fraud. A recent report by the Public Interest Legal Foundation noted that 150 recent vote crime cases remained unprosecuted in the state because of lack of action by liberal, partisan prosecutors. This bill now allows these crimes to be investigated and prosecuted by the state, makes ballot trafficking a felony, and strengthens identify protections. More
