COMPASS: Biden Weaponization Exposed

April 16th, 2026

The House and Senate are back in session this week and the following two weeks.

In the House this week, House leadership is looking to push through a clean extension, with the support of President Trump, of The Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act of 1978 or better known as FISA. This is the program that was used illegally to spy on President Trump’s campaign. President Trump posted to Truth Social regarding his position, acknowledging he was a victim of the illegal spying, but citing, “With the ongoing successful Military activities against the Terrorist Iranian Regime, it is more important than ever that we remain vigilant, PROTECT our Homeland, Troops, and Diplomats stationed abroad, and maintain our ability to quickly stop bad actors seeking to cause harm to our People and our Country” as part of his support.

In the Senate, leadership is attempting to push through a plan to use the fast tracked process called reconciliation to fund Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and Border Patrol (CBP). These were the two portions of the Department of Homeland Security funding that liberals in the Senate prevented from being funded. Some conservatives are desirous of using the reconciliation process to fund more than just ICE and CBP to include the SAVE Act or policies related to affordability.

Meanwhile, evidence of the extensive weaponization of government under the Biden administration is still coming to light. From going after President Trump to former White House Chief of Staff and CPI Senior Partner, Mark Meadows, and many others, the Biden Administration was not afraid to contort the law to prosecute their political enemies. One of the most egregious aspects of the weaponization was the use of a law called “Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act” or the FACE Act

A new Justice Department bombshell report on the FACE Act abuses was released this week, confirming what many conservatives already suspected. According to Mary Margaret Olohan’s reporting, “The Justice Department just released an 800+ report on how President Joe Biden’s administration weaponized the FACE Act against pro-life Americans and Americans of faith” she posted on X.

Many pro-life supporters will peacefully pray and sing outside of abortion clinics and this is what has been cited as a violation of the FACE Act, which says you cannot physically threaten or cause injury to someone trying to access an abortion clinic. The use of the FACE Act to go after individuals hit the front pages when a concentration camp survivor and six other pro-life advocates were convicted of “conspiracy” – a felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison – for peacefully praying outside of a clinic. President Trump famously pardoned individuals charged and convicted under the FACE Act.

As a response to the weaponization of this law, Congressman Chip Roy introduced a bill to repeal the FACE Act to prevent its future abuses.
