Richard brings to CPI nearly two decades of experience in public policy and fundraising, serving in the Office of Tourism, Trade, and Economic Development in the office of Gov. Jeb Bush (2003-2006), in the Office of Legislative and Intergovernmental Affairs at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration under President George W. Bush (2006-2009), and as a Senior Advisor to the President for Donor Relations at The Heritage Foundation (2010-2018).
Born and raised in Winter Haven, FL, Richard graduated from Furman University in 2001, and earned an M.A. with an emphasis in fundraising from Avila University in 2017. He has spent his career living in Washington, D.C., Florida, and Charleston, SC, before recently returning with his wife, Marley, and two young children, Richard and Margaret, to his hometown of Winter Haven.
