As CPI’s Leadership Development Manager, Sam helps identify, vet, develop, and recommend top staff to influential positions throughout Washington.
Sam is a political professional with experience in campaigns, on Capitol Hill, and in the executive branch. Prior to joining CPI, he served in the Trump administration as deputy White House liaison for the U.S. Small Business Administration, where he assisted to recruit, vet, and hire personnel. Sam was a key contributor in building the largest cohort of political appointees ever assembled at the agency. He was also selected as a CPI Magnus Fellow.
Leading up to the administration, Sam served on President Trump’s historic 2024 campaign and inaugural team. He also served at the Republican National Convention and as deputy campaign manager for Congressman Mike Kennedy’s winning inaugural primary race.
Sam graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor’s degree in economics from the Huntsman School of Business at Utah State University, augmenting his experience as a four-year university ambassador and a congressional intern. He began his political career in the office of Senator Mike Lee, where he held roles in operations and policy.
